March 2016 Second PET Prefom Line Launched

The second PET line for preform manufacturing has been commissioned by SACMI and is running as we speak. These addition will double the current production capacity of preforms to 20 million units per month.


July 2015 Coba Impact and Pluto International Sign Distribution Agreement

Coba Impact has made an agreement with Pluto International S.r.l for the distribution of its PET flakes in Italy. Pluto International, an established trading company in the plastics polymers industry, will distribute exclusively with in the Italian territory the recycled PET flakes manufactured in Ethiopia.


May 2015 First Shipment of Recycled PET Flakes to China

After 8 months of commissioning the only PET hot washing plant in East Africa, the first shipment of PET flakes was carried out this month. Starting form July this year, the company is forecasting to export about 150 to 200 tons per month of recycled PET flakes.
